Public Service Announcement (PSA) Guidelines

City Cable 13 Readerboard broadcasts announcements relating to city government issues, such as notices, meeting changes, employment opportunities, and city sponsored programs. The Readerboard runs throughout the day between scheduled programming.

We welcome PSA announcements from non-profit and community organizations. PSAs generally meet the following critieria: Must serve the public interest and benefit the community as a whole.

Commercial advertising and announcements for the purposes of personal or financial gain will not be accepted. As a general policy, City Cable 13 will not air PSA's that include commercial sponsorship, or identification with the following exceptions: The event carries the name of the business due to their sponsorship (ie., “Super Foods’ Fun Run for the Boys and Girls Club) or the business is serving as the venue of an event or promotion featured in the PSA (i.e., "Blood drive this week at WestLake Drug.") Announcements for fund-raisers at commercial establishments which require a purchase will not be accepted, even if a portion of the funds are donated to charity. PSAs announcements of religious or denominational services or messages will not be accepted. However religious groups sponsoring events of general interest and open to the community may be accepted. PSA announcements promoting partisan political events or activities and of a political nature will not be accepted.

Post Falls City Cable reserves the right to refuse any announcement or to edit them to "fit" the readerboard format. Post Falls City Cable 13 airs PSA announcements on a space-available basis. Submission of a PSA does not guarantee broadcast.

Please submit your public service announcement (PSA) at least 2 weeks prior to a scheduled event. PSAs will not be accepted over the phone.
