The City of Post Falls is seeking a Full-time Administrative Specialist for the Engineering Division. This is a journey level secretarial and advanced administrative support position. At this level, there is a cross-over between general clerical work in support of general office functions to more complex and less routine work of a secretarial nature for the engineering division and staff. Serves as a “hub” of information and coordination amongst all department staff. An employee in this class provides specialized engineering division information to customers and performs specialized services including preparation of a variety of correspondence, documents and reports for the engineering staff. Other support tasks may include research, data entry and processing, information systems support, budget administration, purchasing, and scheduling and helping support other administrative functions in the Community Development Department is essential.
Requirements for this position include a High School Diploma or GED equivalency; preferable supplemented by coursework in office practices or general business classes and three (3) year of secretarial/administrative experience; area of engineering division preferred and experience with Civil Engineering or Construction Administration desired. Starting wage is $13.57 plus an excellent benefits package.

This is a clerical and technical support position with the principal function being to provide general support to the Public Information Office/Media Center in production, media, and general office duties. Duties include data entry, reviewing and proofreading documents, answering phones, assisting the public, typing, filing, and copying. Other duties may include assisting in the operation of recording and broadcasting equipment, posting to the City’s web and social media sites, utilizing various software applications for clerical work and record keeping, and assisting other departments with media specific processes and procedures as needed.

The City of Post Falls Police Department is accepting applications for entry level (no experience) police officer candidates.
General Statement of Duties:
Performs general duty and investigative police work in the protection of life and property through enforcement of laws and ordinances; responds to calls for the protection of life and property; performs related work as required.

Classification Summary:
The principal function of an employee in this class is to enforce state and local laws and ordinances, respond to calls for the protection of life and property, conduct criminal and non-criminal investigations, to make arrests and perform other assigned law enforcement and public safety duties. Duties normally consist of patrol and traffic activities in the City on an assigned shift. Officers may be delegated to assignments in specialized areas such as neighborhood services, community services, criminal investigations services, administration, field training, firearms training, special weapons and tactical (SWAT) team, or other assignment. Work is performed under the general direction of a supervising Sergeant. Considerable latitude is granted to the employee but work is subject to periodic performance audits and annual evaluations. The principal duties of this class are performed in both a general office environment and an outdoor environment that may include exposure to adverse weather conditions and to potential personal danger.
Starting pay for entry level officers is $ 21.75 per hour. A competitive benefits and retirement package is available to full time employees.

Position: EMERGENCY COMMUNICATIONS OFFICER (E.C.O)

DUTIES INCLUDE: Answering incoming emergency and non-emergency calls, dispatching police officers, operating teletype computer, two-way radio & performing receptionist duties for the PD. Employees in this position must have the ability to work under stressful conditions, communicate effectively, good typing and clerical skills and experience working with the public. Familiarity with city locations is necessary. Emergency Communications Officers for the City of Post Falls work varying shifts, weekends and holidays. Applicants must be available for all days and shifts.

maintenance and service work on City parks, buildings and grounds,
including equipment, machinery, and irrigation systems.
Minimum requirements; High school graduate or equivalent; valid
driver’s license; one year prior experience operating maintenance
equipment or performing construction tasks; capable of lifting 75
pounds unassisted. Class B CDL and/or pesticide license preferred.
May be subject to Drug Testing. $10.77 PH. No benefits.
