The City of Post Falls is accepting applications for Lifeguards at Q’emlin Riverside Beach and Park during the 2013 summer season. The position performs a variety of water related recreation and safety duties on an open water beach. Minimum requirements: possess current first aid and CPR certification and a Red Cross lifeguard certificate. Must have excellent swimming abilities and have the strength to drag unconscious weight up to 200 pounds. Must be at least 16 years old. Starting wage is $7.50-$9.00 PH DOE.

Position: URBAN FORESTRY ASSISTANT

The City of Post Falls is accepting applications for a part-time Urban Forestry Assistant, approximately 16 hours per week, with the Park Department’s Urban Forestry division.  The position assists the Urban Forester in the maintenance and management of public trees, performing tasks such as tree inventory, tree health evaluations, resource mapping, tree pruning, insect & disease control, maintenance of irrigation systems, etc.
This position requires the ability to identify urban tree species. Prior experience with Arcview GIS and ISA certification is preferred.  Work is performed outdoors, frequently unassisted. $12.92 PH, Non-benefitted.
