  • Parks & Recreation Master Plan Community Vision Public Forum

    06-12-2019

408 N Spokane St Post Falls, ID 83854

408 N Spokane St Post Falls, ID 83854

A Community Vision Public Forum will be held on June 12, 2019 from 6:00 – 7:30 pm at Post Falls City Hall. Residents, business owners, special interest groups, and other interested parties are invited to attend.
Focus groups are being held on specific Parks & Recreation interests to begin the planning and visioning process for updating of the Parks & Recreation Master Plan. This Community Vision Forum will be the community’s first opportunity to see the results of those focus groups and to add their input.
As the City of Post Falls prepares to update the Parks & Recreation Master Plan, the process will look at existing parks, recreational programs, facilities, and services to determine if the City is meeting the current needs of citizens and to develop a long-range plan to help meet future needs and desires of the growing community. The planning process will include information gathering, a needs assessment survey and citizen focus groups.
The Master Plan is an important tool used in planning and prioritizing the needs and desires for upgrades and improvements. This plan also will be helpful when the City competes for grant dollars by providing valuable data and demonstrating responsible planning.
The City has retained the services of GreenPlay, LLC, a national parks, recreation, and open space consulting firm to assist with updating the Master Plan.
